I love my work. I hate my work.

it-newTN.jpg Have you even been on a project so long that finishing it seems like giving birth. The pain, the joy, the realization that you will need to spend at least the next 18 years defending it against people who wish to sully it in some fashion.

Yeah, I know exactly how you feel.

The IT site and Academies site went live yesterday, and the student chapter of ACM even used the header image I made for them.

it-oldTN.jpg All in all, that should be reason to celebrate, but frankly all it did was wear me out. Especially since the changes I asked for months ago and never got have finally started to appear now that the site is live.

What's even worse is the fact that the Marketing department of the college has revamped the original I worked from to include a large mint green bar, for no apparent reason.

it-proposedTN.jpg For a school with a large IT program, it's is amazing how they seem to have no idea how to design webpages. The new IT design is ugly and boring.

Exactly what you don't want when you're trying to sell classes to people.

I'm so over it. If they decide that the large green bar is needed, well they can deal with the World's Largest Stylesheet™ and do it themselves.

I'm sure that the 'web designer' at the college could handle it. After all he sure knows how to use Frontpage really well.
