I've been saving up this entry for a couple of days, trying to have enough to write as not to bore either of us to death. But hey, look at it this way... I didn't start the entry off with "Don't you love the new layout!".
I watched BtVS and Charmed tonight, the first time I've seen either show as a first run. It looks like we're going to get a great season from them both this year, but I think Buffy moved a tad too fast in the premiere. Though it was fun seeing the two people who are obviously Neo-Xander and Neo-Willow. I'm also surprised that Charmed was 2 hours, and BtVS was only one. BTW, the books on the table during Charmed... I own about 3 of them. They don't have any info about mermaids (Though the one with the black and red cover titled simply "WITCH" has a very good argument on going around skyclad.)
It's gotten a little chilly the last couple of days and you can tell fall is upon us... which also means my birthday is almost here! (why yes... I _do_ have an Amazon Wishlist.... why do you ask?)
Yesterday when I booted up m y computer I was greeted with the fact that my computer obviously loved the number "07" because that's all it'd show me... repeatedly. Kisai helped me figure out how to save everything, which means I didn't lose all my anime. I was dreading downloading everything again, even though I don't really watch it that much.
I also just checked my site stats... I've still got 972 megs of unused space. ^^ I wonder why I went with the premium plan sometimes.

I remember the good old days when the movie came before the ride. This, the Country Bears Movie, & This movie that was formerly going to be titled "Snow White and the Seven Shao Lin" (and is going to be choreographed by the same guy who did "The Matrix" & "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon") tell me that Disney is grasping at straws.
We're not even going to talk about how The Disney Channel is getting rid of the Late Night "Vault Disney" lineup and replacing it with yet more Kim Possible & Lizzie McGuire.
And don't get me started on Tim Burton's "Batman On Broadway"...
it makes one wonder what people are smoking.

How you enjoy the new layout. She may get a lot of bad press, most of it deserved, but Anne Nicole was a great model... and actually shaped like a woman... unlike some other models we know. :::glare at Kate Moss:::

Great... we're worried about the coastlines. Let's put NORTHCOM in the southwest in a landlocked state.

I know it's late. I know it's already the 12th in most of the world. But I only have one chance to say this and I want to get it right.
I remember where I was when the news broke. I was at my desk with the TV right beside it, chatting away in #afsm. It seemed that morning that more people than normal were on #afsm... maybe we all knew something. When the first plane hit, we all made jokes that were in bad taste. Gallows humor. Of course at the time, it was just an accident, not a blow against our way of life.
We sat there, watched the second plane hit.
We sat there, watched the people in the streets.
We sat there, watched.
And then we didn't watch anymore.
I couldn't take anymore of September 11th. I couldn't stand 9/11, The Day America Stood Still, the WTC Tragedy, The Attack On America, The Terrorist Attacks... and all the other things that CNN, FOXnews, MSNBC, CBS, ABC, NBC tried to cram down my throat with clever graphics and live up-to-the-minute coverage.
My local Cable Company added NY1 to our station lineup so we could have yet another channel to watch.
For the past year, America has lived under a shadow. We're a little stronger, a litttle harder willed, hopefully a little smarter. But we really haven't changed. When one person you loved dies, you eventually move on. You don't forget them. You don't stop loving them. You don't stop wishing they were still here.
It's no different when it's 3000 people.
I started thinking, or worrying if you will, that perhaps one day not long from now, September 11th will become a holiday like Memorial Day.
10 years from now, I don't want to be wished a "Happy 9/11" by a cashier who was 6 when it happened.

Yes, I've finally got Greymatter working. Now SSDD is Malbela!
Malbela is a word from Esperanto. Esperanto is a fasinating language in the fact that it was entirely artificially created. It has strict grammar rules that do not deviate for any reason. Translated to English, Malbela means "Unpretty".
I fell in love with the word. To say something was Unpretty seems so much worse than saying it was ugly. It was almost beautiful.
Well... onward I say!
