Thanks, Mr. Wood. I guess we'll postpone our blue-eyed battle to the death.
So... Elijah Wood did mention my website in the lastest issue of The Advocate.
Thanks Ellen!
I've also posted a NEW HAVVG in response!
oh crap.
Guys, things could get kinda slow around here soon.
I'm now hearing from other sources that Hobbits Are Very Very Gay was mentioned in The Advocate by Elijah Wood!
Anyone seen the issue?
Update!
Someone is going to send me a full size scan of the page. Basically Elijah tells everyone to come visit my site! Pray for my bandwidth.

HAVVG Reader Mail: It'll crush him.
I have been reading JRR Tolkiens master work and the subsiquent novels about his work for 20 years....
Your Site Is the Funniest Thing I Have Ever SEEN!!!
Love IT!
Love You for doing IT!
AND YES I am VERY VERY VERY VERY GAY
Love
Hamson Gamgee.
Please don't tell Sean - It'll crush him.
Serously though - since Elijah's interview in The Advocate - where he mentioned the site ---how many hits have you had? Has anyone in the pictures objected at all? E seemed to be ok with it in the article but what about everyone else? I mean Sean Bean didn't object at all?
Thanks
Quack.
Dear Quack,
Thanks for your letter about that little side project of mine. I've gotten a lot of response to it, most of it in the "We want more!" vein.
I haven't heard anything from anyone connected with the people I mention on the site, and I'm kinda glad of that. My lawyer is still trying to clear up that time I implied that Tom Cruise liked the penis.
I'll just clear that up now. According to my lawyer, that was a typo. What I meant to say was that Tom Cruise really loves pens. Especially pens from exotic locations. He even likes to have use more than one pen at a time.
Tom Cruise is a HUGE pen lover.
Elijah mentioned my site in The Advocate? Ummm... I'm scared! When did that happen? and are you sure he didn't really mention that other site that says he's very very gay? If he did mention me, what issue?!
There may be more HAVVG coming soon!
But we won't tell Sean.

He's probably just a tad damp.
Once again, out on the quad, this time by myself. Well... I guess you have to count the guy with the gas powered hedge clippers who's getting closer and closer.
Which bothers me, as I am not particularly close to any hedges at the moment.
I just logged into AIM and it's weird not seeing Dre there. He's always signed on. Of course, he's not usually living in the middle of a federal disaster area.
I was a concerned about him last night, but then they started making noise about the levee breaking and I got actually worried. He's a nurse there, so he wasn't required to evacuate. I'm not sure what hospital he works at, other than it's not Tulane.
I'm sure he's fine, but I'd like to know for sure if he's alright... and for everyone online to get back to talking about important things like music, our weekend plans, and exactly who Mr. Toothy Tile really is. (coughjakecough)

In Need Of Fresh Air
I'm sitting out on the quad, having finally connected to the network here at school. Why in the world anyone would create a wireless network that's just about platform dependent, I'll never know. And of course, like most places, the school offers no mac support beyond the usual "Well, it should work...".
Now, I'm not a mac zealot (HA!) or anything, but I think you should be say more than "That's not IE." when someone mentions that they can't connect to the wireless network with Safari. It works if you connect using FireFox most of the time, part of the time with Camino, and never with Safari.
You can use any of the browsers if you've already got connected with one of them. So it's not a Safari or Camino problem, unless it's something with Cocoa/Aqua. It obviously can't be the browser engine because Camino and FireFox are both using Gecko.
I'm sitting here on one of the benches waiting for a meeting to start in about an hour. I'm a little mad that Jenn was pretty much not invited to the meeting, since she will be overseeing the project that the meeting involves. It seems like the person most directly concerned with and involved with the project should be considered when planning things.
And to top it off, It's not even a good day for me!
After this meeting I have to head off to work and have another meeting, this one with the other bulk managers from the other stores. I need to call and find out if the guy from Davidson can bring me barley flakes.
I'm having a hard time at work. I just got my raise and it was only a dollar. A dollar seems like a lot, but it means I'm only making a buck more than a brand new cashier. It sucks because I know that the managers of the two worst departments are making around $15 an hour, and my department makes at least 50% more than their departments combined.
It's just not fair.
Add into the fact that I'm constantly fighting with those two managers and the 'head' cashier, and you'll see that it's not fun. I should be making more, and everyone says I will be remembered in February when raises come around again. I'm doubting it however.
Well, Morticia is at about 50% battery life and I'm going to go scribble in the Mighty-Book-Of-Fun™.

MY DOCK IS HUGE!!!11111
Ok... so yesterday I took a trip up to the mall and spent 3,600 bucks. I really should have gotten more boxes.
I got a 17" Powerbook (Morticia), a new 60 gig iPod (Lily), and a new multifunction printer.
And right now I'm blogging from the quad. RAWK.
An actual entry later!
